  3. We use clear and concise language in our privacy statement and avoid hiding information. We are also transparent about what data we process and how we do so. This is clearly defined and transparent.
  4. We only process the personal data we truly need. That's data minimization.
  5. We're happy to work with you to ensure the data we process is always correct and up-to-date. This is the accuracy of the data.
  6. We do not retain your data longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. This is the retention period.
  7. We never share your personal data with other parties, within or outside the EU, without valid reason. We also ensure robust security of your personal data by implementing numerous technical and organizational measures. When we share your personal data with third parties, we explicitly indicate this. Breek de Week Kids only shares your personal data with third parties with your permission, if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, or to comply with any legal obligation. With parties that process your data on our behalf, we enter into a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Breek de Week Kids remains responsible for these processing operations. This is for the integrity and security of the data.



Personal data that we process

Below you'll find an overview of the personal data, purposes, legal bases, and retention periods we process per category. We also indicate with whom your data is shared for each category.


Customer data


Personal data and purposes:


  1. Name and address details (first name, last name, address, postal code, city, country). For the execution of the agreement, invoicing, identification, maintaining customer relationships, and conducting direct marketing activities.
  2. Contact and additional personal data (email address, phone number, gender). To communicate with each other, address you correctly, provide support, notify you of changes to products/services, and conduct direct marketing activities.
  3. Payment details (bank account number, VAT number). To process your payment and for VAT deduction if your company is located outside the Netherlands.


Basis (legal basis) for the processing:

Necessary for the performance of the agreement (click here for more information).

Carrying out direct marketing activities (we send you offers for similar products or services or tips about purchased products or services) falls under “legitimate interest” ( click here for more information ).


Retention period:

Up to one month after termination of the agreement (click here for more information).

We keep your invoices for the statutory retention period.


Who is your data shared with:

With us and some of our subcontractors, such as Leeuwendael Events, 't Brabants Genot, MS Productions (Fuutlaan 12, 5613 AB Eindhoven), Go4boost Management Support, and Eventix. They are either recipients or processors of the personal data. We have a data processing agreement with them.

With us and Google. We have configured the Google Analytics cookies in a privacy-friendly manner in accordance with the "Guide to privacy-friendly configuration of Google Analytics" as provided by the Dutch Data Protection Authority. For the Google Analytics cookies, this means that Breek de Week Kids i) has concluded a data processing agreement with Google, ii) masks the last octet of your IP address, iii) has disabled "data sharing" so that Google cannot use the obtained personal data for its own purposes (Google can only use this for technical support), and iv) does not use other Google services in conjunction with Google unless otherwise indicated in the "Marketing & Tracking Cookies" section. You can contact us via a web form, for example. Each web form has a single, clear purpose, and if a form has an additional purpose (e.g., subscribing to the newsletter), we will ask for additional consent. By completing the form, you give us permission to process the requested personal data. For this purpose, we primarily use name and address details, telephone number, and email address.

We retain your data until we are certain you are satisfied with our response. If contact leads to an order, we retain your data for a maximum of one month after the end of the agreement (click here for more information). Our web forms may specifically ask for your consent to inform you about future activities. In this case, we retain your data until you indicate you no longer wish to receive these mailings. We retain your invoices for the statutory retention period.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in their children's online activities to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you believe we have collected personal data about a minor without this consent, please contact us at jonathan@breekdeweekkids.nl, and we will delete this information.

Automated decision-making

The Waalre Bruist Foundation does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that could have (significant) consequences for individuals. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, without human intervention (for example, an employee of Breek de Week Kids).

View, change or delete data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data or to object to the processing of your personal data by Breek de Week Kids. You also have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization you specify.


You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, or transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data, to jonathan@breekdeweekkids.nl. To verify that the request for access has been made by you, we ask that you include a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, please redact your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy.


We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks. Breek de Week Kids would also like to inform you that you have the right to lodge a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. If you have a complaint about how we or our subcontractors handle your personal data, we ask that you discuss it with us first so we can see if we can resolve or adjust it to your satisfaction. If we are unable to reach that point, you can always lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.


How we protect personal data

Breek de Week Kids takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. If you believe your data is not properly secured or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us at jonathan@breekdeweekkids.nl.


Both we and our suppliers (processors) will endeavor to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures regarding the security of personal data. We do not guarantee that this security is effective under all circumstances. We will endeavor to ensure that the security meets a level that is not unreasonable, given the state of the art, the sensitivity of the personal data, and the costs associated with implementing the security measures.
